"I chose to attend EIU because it is close to home, so I drive here every day. I didn't want to leave my job, my friends, or my family. I have always been familiar with Charleston, and now I have EIU as a place that I feel welcomed. I want to be a meteorologist after graduation, and I know of several local meteorologists who also majored in physics here at EIU, so I felt like it was a perfect fit for me."
