Financially Savvy Philanthropy: Considerations for Year-End Charitable Decisions

Do you make many of your charitable contributions between Thanksgiving and year-end? You may consider the potential tax benefits of your generosity or how your philanthropy aligns with your overall financial goals.

University Advancement is pleased to welcome Shari Fox, Principal of Fox Philanthropic Advisors, who will discuss strategies for making charitable gifts that can provide financial benefits beyond those of giving cash. The session will also address timing considerations, including provisions in recent tax legislation that may make giving in 2025 particularly advantageous.

On the Road with EIU: Panthers vs. Crimson Tide

Join University Advancement and the Alumni Association as we cheer on Eastern Illinois football in an unforgettable matchup against the Crimson Tide—one of college football’s most tradition-rich programs. The Panthers will close the 2025 regular season on Saturday, November 22 at Alabama with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.

Don’t miss this unique game-day experience—tailgating on the historic Quad! Enjoy food, drinks, and plenty of Panther pride before heading into Bryant–Denny Stadium for kickoff.
