EIU Night Out in Champaign

Panthers in the Champaign–Urbana area, we’re bringing Eastern to you! Join us for EIU Night Out in Champaign at the historic Brass Rail, located at 15 E. University Ave., Champaign, one of the community’s favorite gathering spots and owned by fellow alum, Mike Madigan, ’87.

Enjoy a relaxed evening of great food, drinks, and networking with fellow alumni while reconnecting with the EIU community close to home. Whether you’re looking to expand your professional network, reunite with old friends, or simply enjoy a fun night out with Panthers, this event is the perfect way to celebrate your EIU pride.

We’re also excited to welcome special guest Tom Michael, Eastern Illinois University’s athletic director. Before leading EIU athletics, Michael was a standout forward for the University of Illinois Fighting Illini, where he competed in two NCAA Tournaments. Come hear updates on Panther athletics, connect with a campus leader, and enjoy conversation with fellow alumni.

EIU School Psychology Networking Social

6:30 – 8:30 p.m. | Timothy O’Toole’s Pub, Chicago

Join Eastern Illinois University alumni, students, faculty, and friends of the School Psychology program for a networking social in conjunction with the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) Annual Convention—the world’s largest and most influential gathering of school psychology professionals.

Held at Timothy O’Toole’s Pub in Chicago, this informal evening provides a great opportunity to connect with fellow Panthers, share experiences from the field, and build relationships with professionals at all stages of their careers. With NASP attendees in town for access to more than 1,000 presentations, workshops, and special events focused on cutting-edge research and practice, this social offers a meaningful space to extend those conversations beyond the conference.

The event also highlights EIU’s Masters en route to the Specialist Degree in School Psychology (SSP), offered through the Department of Psychology. The program is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education and the National Association of School Psychologists, and recognized by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, reflecting its quality and rigor. Graduates are well-prepared for licensure in Illinois and beyond, and are eligible to pursue the Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential.

Whether you are attending NASP, currently practicing in the field, or considering the next step in your professional journey, we hope you’ll join us for an evening of conversation, connection, and Panther pride.

Calling all former RAs, desk assistants, hall directors, dining staff, and everyone who made on-campus living at EIU feel like home! Join us for the Housing Affinity Network Social at Two Brothers Roundhouse, located at 205 N. Broadway, Aurora, in the Zephyr Room — a warm, welcoming space perfect for reconnecting with your housing and dining community.

Enjoy an afternoon of conversation, camaraderie, and shared memories as you reconnect with fellow alumni who helped shape the residential experience at Eastern. Whether you worked in housing or dining, this gathering is a wonderful opportunity to revive old friendships, build new connections, and celebrate the impact these teams had on generations of Panthers.

This event also serves as a kickoff toward the Housing & Dining Reunion, scheduled for June 2026 in Charleston. Come meet fellow alumni, help build excitement, and share ideas as we begin shaping a memorable reunion weekend.

Viewpoints: From Idea to Impact

Join us for Viewpoints: From Idea to Impact, a conversation featuring Rahul Wahi and Tony Zipparro, co-founders of LLT Group, as they reflect on the journey from early ideas to building a nationally recognized digital strategy agency.

This program will explore how curiosity, creativity, and collaboration can evolve into lasting leadership and meaningful impact. Rahul and Tony will share personal insights on entrepreneurship, scaling with purpose, and the role EIU had in shaping their professional paths.

The Viewpoints series immerses the EIU alumni network in storytelling, timely issues, emerging research, and shared campus history. The program highlights Eastern’s intellectual capital while creating space for reflection, dialogue, and reconnection with campus life.

Housing Legacy Courtyard
