Why Study Mathematics at EIU?

  • Learn through hands-on, project-based coursework
  • Work closely with faculty in small class settings
  • Prepare for a wide range of careers across almost every industry
"I chose Eastern IL University because of the close-knit community, affordability, and the ability to have a high-quality education for Physics and Mathematics majors. As a smaller university EIU provides the ability to learn tough subjects such as Physics and Mathematics in a smaller class setting which allows students to engage with the professors one-on-one and seek more help from professors at a greater degree on top of the free and useful academic help center and writing center. On top of this, professors really do want to see you succeed and reach for the sky which is very beneficial as well."
