EIU Facilities Planning and Management

Maintenance & Operations

FPM's Maintenance and Operations Group is responsible for all day-to-day maintenance and repair across Eastern Illinois University's 350 acres and more than 100 buildings. This group is comprised of "Work Control" and nine skilled trade shops including:

  • HVAC & Mechanical
  • Carpentry
  • Grounds
  • Roofing & Waterproofing
  • Painting and Resurfacing
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Control Operations
  • Maintenance Services Shop, which handles asbestos abatement, hazardous waste removal, and other labor needs
