Accelerated Master of Arts in English
Whether you plan to teach high school, go out into the workforce after graduation, or go on to careers that require a Masters degree such as teaching at a 2-year college, the Accelerated Masters Program in English is a great way to get extra value out of your undergraduate degree in English. Students who have junior standing and a GPA of 3.25 or higher are eligible to participate in the program, which allows you to double count up to 9 credit hours towards both your current undergraduate degree and a future graduate degree. Masters degrees must be completed within 6 years of completing your undergraduate degree.
The chart below shows how easy it is to double count classes that you are already taking towards a future graduate degree, regardless of your focus of study in English. You must be enrolled in the Accelerated Masters program prior to taking courses you intend to count as deferred graduate credit.
