Funding Scholarships
The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology has four student scholarships:
- The Stan, Dee, and Meagan Braden Scholarship
- The Robert and Luz Whittenbarger Scholarship
- The Alumni Scholarship
- The Richard and Kathy Hummel Scholarship
You can donate to by visiting the EIU giving page, selecting "other gifts" from the drop-down menu, and writing in the name of the scholarship of your choice in the "special instructions" box.
Department Annual Fund
The Department maintains a gift account, which is used to fund the annual department Honors Reception, student activities, annual faculty retreat, and other initiatives including ongoing renovations to our new student study lounge.
To give to this fund, visit the EIU giving page and select "Sociology, Anthropology & Criminology" from the drop-down menu.
Commemorative Courtyard
Purchase an engraved brick or paving stone in the EIU Commemorative Courtyard to honor your time on campus or recognize a mentor, classmate, or loved one.
Your personalized tribute will be permanently displayed near the Library Quad, and 80% of your gift can be directed to support the Sociology, Anthropology & Criminology Department.
