Talent Awards

Show off what makes you you — and get rewarded for it!

Eastern Illinois University is excited to offer Talent Awards, an opportunity for incoming students to earn extra money for college simply by sharing their interests and passions. Eligible students may receive a $1,000 award, renewable for up to four years for first-year students and two years for transfers.

How It Works

Your unique talents help shape life at EIU, and we want to recognize that. To be considered for a Talent Award, all you need to do is complete the Interests and Activities section in your MyEIU account.

Log in to MyEIU

Visit your MyEIU profile and fill out the Interests and Activities section with both what you’ve done in the past and what you hope to get involved in at EIU.

Share what you enjoy

You don’t have to be a pro or have years of experience. Just tell us what you love to do! Your responses help us connect you with opportunities that fit your interests and allow EIU departments and student organizations to reach out to you directly.

What Counts as a Talent?

Pretty much anything you’re excited about! Examples include:
