The Department of Counseling & Higher Education at EIU has a tradition of excellence in providing graduate student education in higher education and counseling environments.

The goal is to prepare graduate students in helping professions that advance the social, professional, and personal well-being of students in our programs. Our programs strive for excellence in education based on our university and community partnerships, technology application, and developing research in the field.
