2025 Homecoming Food Drive

EIU Panthers are boogying with Billy during Homecoming Week to tackle food insecurity and hunger among students. The EIU Campus Food Pantry supports students by providing essential food and hygiene items, and the entire EIU community is encouraged to give back through monetary donations, volunteering, or donating non-perishable food items.

Our goal is to collect 1,000 pounds of food during Homecoming week!

How You Can Help

  • Can’t make it to the Blue-B-Que? Donations can be dropped off at the Campus Food Pantry anytime during the week.
  • Donations can also be dropped off at the Charleston County Market Oct. 3-11 between 6 am - 10 pm.

Our Mission

Established on October 1, 2021, the EIU Food Pantry was created in response to the growing challenge of food insecurity on college campuses. Webelieve no Panther should go hungry. Since opening our doors, we’ve supported over 3000 students, faculty, and staff—and we’re just getting started.

Getting food from the pantry is easy and stress-free—just bring your Panther Card, and we’ll take care of the rest!
