Audition excerpts for fall 2026 large ensemble placement will be released on July 1. The links below are from fall 2025. Please check back on or after that date for updated audition links.
All string, woodwind, brass, and percussion music majors must audition for participation in orchestra and bands. Non-music majors are also welcome to audition for Wind Symphony and Eastern Symphony Orchestra.
Woodwind, Brass, and Percussion ensemble placement auditions will take place in-person, during the first three days of classes in the fall semester. Students should download, print, and practice the assigned excerpts and scales prescribed for their instrument.
Audition day and time sign-ups will be available online on Monday, August 10th. Ensemble directors and the appropriate applied teacher will be present for the placement auditions. More details about sign-ups are forthcoming. Check back on August 10th.
