Representatives of Eastern Illinois University and Lake Land College recently entered into a Dual Admission Transfer Agreement which will further improve the transfer process for Lake Land students interested in completing an associate degree and then transferring to Eastern to complete a baccalaureate degree.
Scott Lensink, vice president for academic services at Lake Land College, and Blair Lord, provost and vice president of academic affairs at Eastern, signed the agreement.
Students who participate in the Dual Admission Program will be able to track their progress toward a baccalaureate degree at Eastern while they are still taking classes at Lake Land . Students will not only receive academic advising from Lake Land staff while they are taking classes at the community college, but will also have access to financial aid planning and academic guidance assistance at Eastern.
The pilot program will continue for two years and may be extended by mutual consent of both institutions.
