
(Charleston, IL) — Eastern Illinois University invites students, faculty, staff, and community members to attend its annual Veterans Day Ceremony Tuesday, November 11, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Cougill Foyer of Old Main. The event will honor the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of all who have served in the United States Armed Forces, as well as the sacrifices their families and friends have made who stand beside them. A brief ceremony and reflection will be followed by light refreshments.

For more than 40 years, alumni of EIU’s Panther Battalion Army ROTC have exemplified leadership and integrity, influencing and inspiring organizations across the globe. Through EIU’s ROTC program, students learn to lead by example and graduate as commissioned officers. Each spring, ROTC graduates proudly participate in EIU’s commencement ceremony in full military dress—an enduring tradition of honor and pride.
