Charleston -- As the fall semester begins, Booth Library staff members are planning many activities to help students focus, relax and succeed.
The library will offer a series of six quick workshops in person and via Zoom, each geared toward introducing students to library resources for efficient and effective research. The “Become an Empowered Researcher” series will include:
All sessions will meet from 7 to 7:30 p.m. in Booth Library on the 4000 level. Register here.
Booth librarians also will host “Write Nights & Study Buddies @ Booth Library,” an academic support event in October. Students are invited to bring a friend, partner or group to the library to work on a research paper or project with academic support and resources at hand. Booth Librarians and representatives from the Writing Center, Academic Success and TRIO tutors will be on hand to help guide students in their efforts, answer questions, etc. Goodie bags will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is required for this event, which will meet Monday, October 2, 6-8 p.m. in the Atrium and Center for Student Innovation on the library’s 1000 level. Register here.
