Subcommittee of EIU’s Naming Committee Meeting Thursday, January 14

(Charleston, IL) – A Subcommittee of Eastern Illinois University’s Naming Committee will hold a meeting on Thursday, January 14, 2021. The Subcommittee will discuss methods for soliciting and collecting feedback from key constituencies and other interested parties regarding the naming of Douglas Hall.

In accordance with the State of Illinois’ best-practice guidelines for enhancing health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, this Subcommittee meeting of the EIU Naming Committee will be hosted virtually.

The meeting begins at 1:30 p.m. and will conducted via Zoom (web-based video- and tele-conferencing platform). Interested media, members of the public, and individuals seeking to make public comment at this meeting should contact Vice President for Institutional Advancement Ken Wetstein at kawetstein@eiu.edu by noon Thursday, January 14 to received log-in instructions for the meeting.

Public comments will be limited to three minutes per individual and a total of 20 minutes for all public comments. Public comments may also be submitted in written form to the same email address provided above. Written public comments will be shared with the members of this Subcommittee of the Naming Committee.
