Eastern Illinois University invites nominations and applications for the position of Vice President for Student Affairs. This is a national search, and EIU invites a variety of qualified applicants to apply.
This position is responsible to the President for the administration and coordination of all aspects of the Student Affairs program. One of four senior executive officers, the Vice President for Student Affairs is a member of the President’s Council and directly involved in the overall planning of the University.
The Vice President for Student Affairs oversees a division which includes Housing and Dining Services, Student Accountability and Support, Health and Counseling Services, University Police, New Student and Family Programs, Student Life, Fraternity and Sorority Programs, University Union (which includes Textbook Rental Service), Campus Recreation, Civic Engagement and Volunteerism, and Career Services.
Enrolling more than 7,800 students, Eastern Illinois University is a growing public regional comprehensive institution offering a diverse array of undergraduate degree programs and more than 30 graduate degree programs, as well as ten post-baccalaureate certificate programs. Candidates should have senior level administrative experience and a demonstrated track record of leadership, management, and resource development. A Master’s degree is required, and a Doctorate or terminal degree is preferred. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience with promoting inclusive excellence is required.
