EIU’s Doudna Fine Arts Center prepares for a month of music in September

(Charleston, IL) – This September, Eastern Illinois University’s Doudna Fine Arts Center will host a variety of shows that can entertain all ages with their lively visual and musical performances. The Doudna Fine Arts Center will present two band performances—one from the EIU Wind Symphony and Concert Band and one from its Jazz Showcase—as well as a premiere event that will showcase the group Ballets with a Twist--a dance group from New York City.

Doudna performances scheduled for September include:

Thursday, September 19 – Friday, September 20

• 7:30 p.m.—Cocktail Hour: The Show by Ballets with a Twist
  The Theatre
  $25 – All Seats

Dance fans of all ages can come and enjoy the breathtaking choreography performed by Ballets with a Twist from New York City. This dance group will take viewers on a journey around the world to bring different cocktail drinks to life on stage with their own, unique characteristics. Viewers will enjoy their time watching colorful costumes and stage designs as well as listening to original music that the dancers will elegantly flow with on stage.

Thursday, September 26

Friday, September 27

• 7:30 p.m.—Wind Symphony & Concert Band
  The Dvorak Concert Hall
  $6 – General Admission/EIU Employees/Seniors
