Class to explore Illinois’ native owls
(Charleston, IL) – Eastern Illinois University’s Academy of Lifelong Learning will host a fall-themed class on Friday, September 6 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Douglas Hart Nature Center, located at 2204 Dewitt Ave. E. in Mattoon.
The class, Owl Be Seeing You, is targeted toward students, faculty, and members of the community who wish to learn about the various species of owls that have made Illinois their home. Those who participate in this event will learn more about owls native to Illinois through informational stories and owl-related crafts that use natural and upcycled materials. The event is open to everyone, and the registration deadline for this event is September 3.
Both members and non-members of EIU’s Academy of Lifelong Learning (ALL) are required register for the event. Registration is $12 for ALL members and $13 for nonmembers.
