(Charleston, IL) – Eastern Illinois University will be hosting its inaugural Glow Polar Plunge at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 3. The event will take place at the EIU campus pond pavilion and will benefit the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois.
Those who participate can create larger groups, and each participating individual is tasked with raising a minimum of $100 for the fundraiser. Participants also will receive an official Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge sweatshirt.
Those wishing to register as an EIU Glow Plunger may still do so, and help EIU compete for the Statewide Polar Plunge College Cup. Signups are located at www.tinyurl.com/EIUglowplungers. As this is a glow plunge, participants are strongly encouraged to come to the event in costume.
