EIU Alumni Association to host 2018 Alumni Awards Dinner October 20

Ten inspirational EIU alums to receive honors; dinner tickets still available

(Charleston, IL) – Eastern Illinois University will celebrate the accomplishments and ambitions of its 2018 Alumni Awards recipients during next week’s 2018 Homecoming festivities.

Ten recipients will be recognized at this year’s Alumni Awards Dinner, which will take place in the university’s Grand Ballroom, located in the Martin Luther King, Jr. University Union on campus at 600 Lincoln Ave., Charleston. A cocktail reception will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner and award presentations to follow at 7 p.m.

This year’s honorees include:

• Nate Anderson ’73, ’77
  Retired educational administrator,
  former EIU All-American
• Mary Kay Armour ’70
  Retired United States Secret Service supervisor
• Madeleine Doubek ’85
  Dedicated public servant with more than
  30 years’ experience as a journalist
• Robert Genetski ’64
  World-renowned economist, consultant,
  teacher, author and speaker
• Mark Geninatti ’75
  Former Chief Information Officer of JDA Software
• Paul Hoffman ’79
  Senior vice president of human resources and administration for Hunt Consolidated, Inc.
• Angela McQueen ’99, ’08, ’14
  Teacher and coach at Mattoon High School
• Bill Skeens ’77
  President and co-founder of Prairie City Bakery
• Rahul Wahi ’08
  Co-founder and CEO of the LLT Group, Inc.
• Anthony Zipparro ’08, ’09
  Co-founder and COO of the LLT Group, Inc.

The dinner, sponsored by the EIU Alumni Association, is held annually in conjunction with Eastern’s Homecoming celebration.
