Eastern Illinois University’s annual English Studies Summer Camp for High School Students will be held this year July 23 through July 29, 2017.
This unique program allows students to customize their program of study, selecting two sessions from a range of offerings in creative writing, literature, professional/academic writing, media studies, and more. Students grow academically and socially as they prepare for college and are mentored by expert faculty who share their passion for reading and writing. Students receive individual attention through small class sizes and gain skills in analyzing and crafting texts and expressing their ideas both verbally and through writing.
The camp offers two levels of tuition (for residential campers and commuting campers) and various scholarships. The application deadlines are May 1, 2017.
For Information concerning the English Studies Summer Camp, contact camp director Melissa Ames at mames@eiu.edu, visit the camp website, or call the EIU Department of English at 217-581-2428.
