Spring 2027 URSCA Applications -- Due October 23

Two Spring 2027 research opportunities for undergraduate students and faculty members are available:

  • URSCA grants for spring
  • NCUR 2027 travel grants -- Due November 6, check out this link to a separate story

Neither of these opportunities are limited to students in honors programs. 

Spring 2027 Undergrad Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity (URSCA) Award Deadline is Friday, October 23, 2026. For details, see https://www.eiu.edu/honors/ursca.php

All EIU undergraduate students who are undertaking faculty mentored research or creative activity are eligible to apply. Students whould have a minimum EIU GPA of 3.0 and can be in any major. Awards are in the amount of $800 ($500 as a scholarship, and $300 as a budget transfer to minimize project or presentation costs). Questions? Please email rengland@eiu.edu.
