With measles cases reported in neighboring counties, the Coles County Health Department is encouraging all employees to know their measles vaccination status. In the event of a measles exposure, knowing whether you have been vaccinated can help you and public health officials determine what steps may be needed.
Employees do not need to provide their vaccination records to EIU or to the Health Department. Coles County Health Department encourages everyone to take a moment to check their own vaccination history, have immunization rcords readily available, and know their status. If someone is unsure of their vaccination history, the Coles County Health Department can help them determine what records may be available.
Anyone who wants or needs a measles vaccination can receive one at no cost through the Coles County Health Department. Please encourage your employees to contact us if they would like assistance. Please contact CCHD at 217/348-0530 for more information.
