EIU Voluntary Separation Incentive Program -- Details and Eligibility

As Eastern Illinois University continues to address ongoing fiscal challenges and strengthen its long-term financial sustainability, the University is offering a second, time-limited Voluntary Separation Incentive Program (VSIP) for FY27 to eligible, Administrative/Professional, ASP, Faculty, and eligible Civil Service Exempt staff. This program is one component of the University's continued efforts to support ongoing budget realignment and position EIU to meet current and future institutional needs.

The FY27 VSIP provides a financial incentive for eligible employees who voluntarily choose to separate from the University. Participation is entirely voluntary and is intended to support individual transition planning while providing the University with additional flexibility to realign resources.

By the end of this week, eligible employees will receive a direct email from Human Resources containing program details, eligibility information, important deadlines, and frequently asked questions.
