FY27 Compensation Increase for Eligible Non-Negotiated Employees

As part of the Board-approved preliminary Fiscal Year 2027 budget, EIU will increase the compensation pool for eligible non-negotiated employees.

Eligible non-negotiated employees with annual base wages below $100,000 will receive a 1.25% increase to base wages or a $500 annual increase, whichever amount is greater. Eligible non-negotiated employees with annual base wages of $100,000 or higher will receive a 1% increase to base wages.

The increase applies to all eligible, active non-negotiated employees as of June 29, 2026. The increase will be effective June 29, 2026, for bi-weekly paid employees and July 1, 2026, for monthly paid employees.

For purposes of this increase, eligible non-negotiated employees are those whose compensation is not negotiated, annually contracted, covered by grant funds, or otherwise predetermined by the State of Illinois’ prevailing wage standards. As in prior years, employees who receive a stipend for additional responsibilities will receive the increase only on their base salary.
