Internal Governing Policy #102 has been changed to reflect that Eastern will no longer accept the penny coin for in-person cash payments, beginning May 11, 2026. EIU will continue to bill to the penny, but any change due to a customer for a cash payment will be rounded to the nearest five cents in the customer's favor.
Departments should consider this policy change in their pricing. Departmental deposits to Cashiers should also reflect this change.
