Illinois Meningitis Information Law and Illinois Communicable Disease Prevention Act

The Illinois Meningitis Information Law and Illinois Communicable Disease Prevention Act requires that Eastern Illinois University shall inform new students and the campus community about meningitis and its transmission. As required by these laws, a brochure for students and parents regarding meningitis, as well as other information and links, is available on-line at https://www.eiu.edu/health/meningitis.php.

The SBL-EIU Medical Clinic also offers the meningitis ACWY conjugate accine, subject to availability of the vaccine from the manufacturer. For additional questions regarding the vaccine, please call the SBL-EIU Medical Clinic at (217) 581-3013.
