Doudna Fine Arts Center Events: Nov. 17 - 23, 2025
We have an exciting week leading up to Thanksgiving break at the Doudna Fine Arts Center! There will be two concerts, the EIU Jazz Lab Band Concert Tuesday, November 18 and the Eastern Piano Trio Recital Thursday November 20. These concerts are free to attend but you can reserve your spot for Doudna's upcoming ticketed performances at www.eiu.edu/doudnatix/.
EIU Jazz Lab Band

Join EIU's Jazz Lab Band this Tuesday in Doudna's Theatre for a swingin' performance as they play music by Frank Foster, Henry Mancini, Wynton Marsalis, Thad Jones, and more!
Eastern Piano Trio

Comprising EIU Director of Orchestral Activities and Cello Instructor Dr. David Commanday (cello), EIU Instructor of Violin Dr. Ji Myung Kim (violin), and EIU Director of Keyboard Division and Instructor of Piano Dr. Shichao Zhang (piano), the Eastern Piano Trio is presenting EIU with its program Schubert & Piazzolla. This program will include one of Schubert’s masterpieces, his second piano trio in E-flat, D. 929, known for its monumental scale and abundance of Schubertian melodies, paired with A. Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires. Make sure to attend this stellar evening of beautiful chamber music in Doudna's Recital Hall.
